Winchester – 1895 (.30 Army, 28”)

$2,800.00

Description

John Browning’s final Lever-Action design, the Winchester 1895 is the strongest lever action rifle that Winchester ever produced, designed to handle the increased pressures generated by new (at that time) smokeless powder cartridges that were becoming common at the end of the 19th Century.

Despite the many wars the 1895 platform would see, it is best known as the rifle of choice of Teddy Roosevelt, who brought two of them chambered in .405 Winchester on his famous East African Safari.

This example is chambered in .30 Army (.30-.40 Krag) and wears the serial number 412495 which places this rifle as having been built in 1924.  Considering it is over 100 years old, this rifle shows in great condition, and is now available on consignment, priced at $2,800.00.
