Description
The legendary Russian SVD (aka Dragunov) has been around since the 1960’s and still very relevant, but very few have made it into the United States, and they are high value collectors items now. The market has been flooded with Romanian clones that are not actually based on the SVD. The Romanian PSL are just scaled up AK-pattern rifles, and can still be as much as $3,000-$6,000 in the current marketplace. They are all chambered in 7.62x54R.
In between the extremely high value Russian originals and the innumerable Romanian replicas are the very rare Norinco NDM85, which is a faithful Chinese clone of the Soviet SVD. The NDM85 is highly regarded for it’s accuracy, and can yield considerably tighter groups than any of the PSL’s.
What makes this particular rifle so special is that it was a batch of only 1,500 imported into the United States. Of those 1,500, 1,400 were chambered in 7.62x54R, and only 100 were chambered in 7.62×51.
This is one of those 100, and it is by far the most complete on the market. Retaining all original accessories and components, this NDM-85 comes with all serial number matching components, and a host of accessories, extra parts, and more.
This rifle shows in exceptional condition, and was purchased by the owner in unfired condition. It sat in that collection for years, and they decided they must fire it before letting it go. So, less than two magazines have ever been run through this rifle, and it shows in incredible condition.
