Description
The HM50 Gen 2 is a bolt action rifle chambered in .50 BMG, made locally in Mt. Orab, Ohio by our friends at HM Defense. The rifle was designed by HM from the ground up to have unique features like a left handed bolt, right side port, precision adjustable stock, 10 round double stack magazine, and more. The only pieces on the rifle not made in house by HM are the Magpul butt pad, grip, and the Recor muzzle break. The engineering efforts pay off with a .50 BMG rifle with relatively low recoil, that is able to be adjusted to most shooters.
The decision from HM to manufacture a .50BMG came down to market saturation, there are a only few big names offering .50BMG rifles at a significantly higher cost, and HM wanted to give the market another option.
This rifle is finished in the Tungstencerakote finish that long time HM customers may remember from their original run of .308 AR10’s from a number of years back. It comes with a magazine and a rolling fitted hard case, and is available in store.
