Description

Available now is a once in a lifetime opportunity to grab a matching set of Winchester Model 23’s, all numbered 1 of 500 Golden Quail editions, and each with a matching serial number.

The Golden Quail is a higher trim of the standard Model 23, with a higher grade wooden stock and a silver receiver with unique engraving, and a Golden Quail inlay on the bottom side of each receiver.  Other standout features machine turned receiver block, barrel chamber face, and extractors, traditional red Winchester butt pads, and a gold trigger.

All three shotguns show in great condition, with some light handling marks, and the .410 showing the least amount of use in its life, so far.  All three shotguns come in their original Winchester Golden Quail fitted hard cases, made by Emmebi in Italy.  The Golden Quail was a non-catalogued special edition, with the 20 Gauge version introduced in 1985, the 12 Gauge introduced in 1986, and the .410 version was introduced in 1987.

The collector who is offering up this set worked diligently in period to assemble a collection of matching serial numbers, unfortunately he was not able to get the 28 Gauge which was first introduced in 1983 before they were on the customers radar.

This full set is for sale, only as a set.  The owner has no interest in breaking it up.  With the matching serial numbers, this is an excellent heirloom shotgun set ready to be passed down through future generations.

This set is in store, and available now for $15,999.00.  If you are able to come into the store, these are on display in Scott’s office, by the fireplace.
